IGP posts SSP Investigation Maria Mehmood as DPO Pakpattan

LAHORE: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam on Thursday issued transfer orders of SSP Investigation Rawalpindi Maria Mehmood as DPO Pakpattan.
Central Police Office has issued the notification of the posting.
Maria Mehmood is the second women officer to take the charge as DPO in Punjab after DPO Bahawalnagar Ammara Athar. It is also worth mentioning that women Police Officers and officials are being given important assignments according to the vision of IG Punjab Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam.
Previously women officers were not considered for central and field postings meritoriously, IG Punjab is not only appointing women officers as DPOs but also appointing women Police Officers and Officials as SHOs and Muharars in Police Stations of the province so that educated, dutiful, and hardworking women officers should get equal opportunities to command and grow professionally.
