KPK Police Ordinance 2016 reviewed by IGP in chair

PESHAWAR (APP): A meeting of Regional Police Officers with Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani in the chair here Tuesday reviewed implementation of Police Ordinance 2016, law and order situation, traffic plan, working of Dispute Resolution Council (DRC) and Police Assistance Lines (PAL).
The IGP informed the participants that after implementation of Police Ordinance 2016, the responsibilities of police officers have been increase manifold and directed the participants to keep close liaison with the general public and work hard for elimination of crimes.
The RPOs were further directed to hold meeting of concerned officers in their respective districts on monthly basis and review the law and order besides judging the performance of Dispute Resolution Councils and Police Assistance Lines.
They were also directed to review the introduction of DRC at tehsil level by giving it publicity at large scale so that the general public could come to know about this project and their petty issues and disputes could be resolved with their consent effectively.
Additional IGP Headquarters Mian Muhammad Asif, Additional IGP Operations Dr. Muhammad Naeem, Chief Capital City Police Peshawar and all Regional Police Officers also attended the meeting.
