Combing Operation: Levies force foils sabotage bid

NUSHKI (APP): Levies force foiled a sabotage bid and recovered a large number of ammunitions in combing operation near Pak-Afghan borders area of the district on Monday.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Nushki Shakeel Ahmed Khawaja Khail told media persons at his office that, acting on a tip off, Levies team launched a combing operation in the area where the gunmen left their vehicle along with a large number of ammunitions and managed to escape from the scene after heavy exchange of firing.
The ammunitions including 2662, SMG rounds, 1407, LMG rounds, 568 machine guns, 31 mortar shells, 26 hand grenades, 07 RPG rocket shells, 134, empty magazines, 01 rocket and 01 LMG gun were recovered from the suspected vehicle.
The DC said these ammunitions would be used for sabotage activities in the country by unknown men.
He said efforts were underway to arrest the outlaws.
