Biometric attendance system in KPK Government colleges

PESHAWAR (APP): Special Assistant to Chief Minister KP on Information and Higher Education Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani Tuesday said Biometric attendance system had been installed in 24 government colleges of the province to ensure the attendance of teachers.
He said this while inaugurating Biometric attendance system at Government College Peshawar imprinting thumb impression on the machine.
Addressing the function, Mushtaq Ghani revealed that 215 students of government colleges got top positions in eight boards of the province, terming it the results of government reforms initiative in education sector.
He said the Biometric system was being installed in all educational institutions, because in the past, teachers used to skip classes by making false entries in the attendance register.
Mushtaq Ghani said the provincial government had given top priority and allocated massive amount in the budget for education sector, adding it had brought reforms from Primary to University level in consultation with the scholars and education experts.
He appreciated the performance of historical Government College Peshawar and hoped that the college would continue with its pursuit of uplifting the standards of education and producing healthy, academically sound and vibrant citizens to the society.
The function was attended by Secretary Higher Education Department Faheem Wazir, Principle Government College Fazle Subhani, staff members and students of the college.
