PML-N finalised strategy to save Nawaz Sharif from arrest on return to Pakistan

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif's return to the country has led to comprehensive consultations with his legal team, including Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, and Maryam Nawaz, on legal matters related to his return.

The party states that the legal team has finalized its strategy with mutual consent from the leadership, shaping their course of action. According to the legal team's plan, two days before Nawaz Sharif's return, an application for protective bail will be filed in the Lahore High Court.

The legal team is confident that Nawaz Sharif will be granted protective bail for a period of 3 to 7 days by the Lahore High Court. Due to this protective bail, the authorities enforcing the law will not be able to arrest Nawaz Sharif at the airport upon his return, allowing him to avoid immediate incarceration upon his return. After holding a rally upon his return, Nawaz Sharif is set to surrender himself in Islamabad's courts on Monday.

In the case for which he has been sentenced, Maryam Nawaz has already been acquitted with honor. The legal team believes that Nawaz Sharif can potentially benefit legally from Maryam Nawaz's and Captain retired Mohammad Safdar's bail in relation to their UK case. There's a possibility that after surrendering in the relevant trial court, the court might delay its decision on issuing an arrest warrant for Nawaz Sharif.

Prior to this, senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah outlined the initial plan for Nawaz Sharif's return to Pakistan. He stated in an interview with Geo News that Nawaz Sharif would arrive in Lahore on October 21, and afterward, he would go to Minar-e-Pakistan.

The kickoff for our election campaign will be from Minar-e-Pakistan, where Nawaz Sharif will address a gathering. Rana Sanaullah also mentioned that all cases against Nawaz Sharif are based on falsehoods.

Additionally, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has been assigned the responsibility to remove legal obstacles to Nawaz Sharif's return and handle legal matters once he is back. It has been reported that Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Pakistan last night in accordance with the party leader's directive and will hold crucial consultations with the legal team after the former Prime Minister's return.
