Former Finance Minister and senior leader of the Muslim League-Nawaz, Ishaq Dar, has said that the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, has left the matter of holding General Bajwa and General Faiz accountable in 2017 to Allah Almighty. Nawaz Sharif will focus on fixing the country instead of seeking revenge.
In a media interview in London, the former Finance Minister stated that the PML-N had held many meetings regarding counterterrorism efforts. From 2013 to 2016, significant progress was made in countering terrorism. Nawaz Sharif had decided that no matter the cost, they would eliminate terrorism.
He mentioned that during their tenure, they successfully carried out counter-corruption and Zarb-e-Azb operations. They collaborated with military leadership and managed to secure both operations, despite limited resources, and effectively eliminated the curse of terrorism.
Ishaq Dar also emphasized that during Nawaz Sharif's four-year tenure, he had put the economy back on track and would continue to do so, by the grace of Allah. Those who ousted Nawaz Sharif subjected the country to injustice, and they have been exposed in a short period.
He noted that Pakistan's progress was pushed back for many years, and the public suffered as a result. A leader sets the direction. It was in 2017 that the leader stated that he had entrusted his case to Allah.
