Another technical fault in PIA plane, overseas passenger dies of heart attack waiting for home flight

Due to a malfunction in the PIA aircraft, a 31-year-old passenger from Jeddah, eagerly awaiting his return home, tragically lost his life from a heart attack at a hotel. According to reports, on Thursday night, during the departure of PIA flight PK-760 from Jeddah to Lahore, a fire broke out in the AP unit, leading to the evacuation of 275 passengers to a hotel.

Among the passengers was Zahees Ahmed, a resident of Gujranwala, who was staying at the hotel. The deceased passenger's body has been taken into custody by Jeddah police for formal procedures and has been transferred to a local hospital's morgue.

Further details indicate that after completing the necessary formalities, including the post-mortem examination of Zahees Ahmed, who passed away on Friday, his remains will be handed over to the Pakistani consulate in Jeddah. It is expected that within two to three days, after the completion of the formalities in Jeddah, the young man's body will be repatriated back to his homeland.

This tragic incident highlights the importance of safety measures in air travel and the need for thorough investigations to prevent such accidents in the future. The loss of a passenger's life due to technical failures is a reminder of the responsibility of airline authorities to ensure the well-being of their passengers. The grieving family and friends of Zahees Ahmed must now navigate the difficult process of repatriating his remains, adding to the sorrow caused by this unfortunate incident.
