Lahore police have registered a case of the murder of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Shariq Jamal Khan. According to the police, the deceased DIG was poisoned, and the case was filed three months later based on the claim of the deceased's daughter, Hania Sharjeel Khan.
The police have stated that there are seven suspects in the case of DIG Sharjeel Jamal's murder.
According to the FIR, DIG Shariq Jamal's death was initially staged as a natural death, but it was revealed that there were injuries during the time of death. There were missing 80 million in US dollars and 500,000 in cash, and important documents were also missing.
Shariq Jamal had investments in multiple projects, and documents were missing due to the alleged foul play. The FIR report suggests that previous attempts had been made to kill DIG Shariq Jamal. The police found Shariq Jamal's body in a flat in Defense on July 22, and it's worth noting that he served as DIG Traffic and DIG Railways.
