PM Imran Khan suspends officials, orders high profile inquiry against officials under Pakistan Army Act

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Imran Khan has suspended the staff members responsible for maltreatment of passengers onboard PIA flight PK-728 Riyadh-Peshawar, diverted to Islamabad on 17th of this month.
According to circular, the prime minister has also directed to initiate disciplinary proceedings against the officials for not dealing with the situation in a professional manner.
The Prime Minister also suspended Station Manager PIA Islamabad Pervez Naseer and his team followed by disciplinary action.
The board of inquiry, headed by Brigadier Irfan Zafar, will proceed against the responsible Airport Secrity Force officials under the Pakistan Army Act. The Board of Inquiry must finalize its proceedings within 10 days.
