Karachi deputy mayor Arshad Vohra joins PSP

KARACHI: Karachi Deputy Mayor and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-Pakistan) leader Arshad Vohra has joined Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) on Sunday.

The formal announcement was made during a press conference at PSP headquarter in Karachi along with party president Anees Qaimkhani today.

Addressing the press conference, PSP President Anees Qaimkhani said that MQM-Pakistan chief Farooq Sattar had warned of tendering resignations from the all assemblies and Senate if any of his party member was forced to join any other party.

He said that Farooq Sattar should now show moral courage and submit resignations of members of assemblies and Senate.

The PSP president went on to say that his party would take part in by-elections if MQM-Pakistan resigned from assemblies.

Speaking on the occasion, Arshad Vohra said that they couldn’t fulfill the promises made with the people, adding that they couldn’t deliver to the people of Karachi.

He said that he repeatedly told the MQM-Pakistan leadership that many things could have been done despite less resources but nothing was done and he couldn’t face the people after one year.
