Gold prices register increase

On Thursday, gold rates in Pakistan remained unchanged, holding steady at Rs221,000 per tola, despite a marginal increase in the international rate, which rose by $2 per ounce. The 10-gram gold price stood at Rs189,472, maintaining parity with the previous closing, as reported by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). In the global market, spot gold experienced a 0.2% decline, reaching $2,041.19 per ounce by 0927 GMT. Bullion has seen a 2.8% increase this month, following a 7.3% rise in October. Meanwhile, US gold futures for December delivery dropped 0.3% to $2,041.70. Silver registered a 0.1% dip to $24.98 per ounce but was on track for its second consecutive monthly gain, whereas platinum decreased by 0.6% to $926.76.
Palladium recorded a 2% decline, reaching $1,006.73, and was set for its second successive monthly decrease.
