PM Imran Khan vows to retrieve the looted money from abroad

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Monday expressed commitment to retrieve the looted money from abroad.
The prime minister stated while meeting with the federal ministers. He said that the illegal transfer of money from poor countries is the root cause of backwardness and poverty. "All possible steps for retrieving the looted money are among the top priorities," he added.
Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi called on PM Imran Khan in Islamabad and briefed him about the overall situation of the ports.
Economist Dr Shahid Kardar called on the premier, Federal Minister Hamad Azhar, Abdul Hafeez Sheikh and Dr Waqar Masood also attended the meeting and discussed measures to prevent money laundering and return of stolen money.
On the other hand, PM Imran Khan, while talking to renowned economist Shahid Kardar, said bringing the plundered money back to the country is amongst the foremost priorities of the government.
Imran Khan noted the illegal flow of money from the poor countries is the basic reason of their backwardness and poverty. They also discussed overall economic situation and the steps to check money laundering.
