ISLAMABAD - Federal Minister for Petroleum Ghulam Sarwar Khan says government wants to minimize the burden of increased gas prices on masses.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad Friday afternoon, the Minister said the increase was minimal for the poorer segments of society. The increase of 40 percent in gas bills for Tandoors was revoked so that price of bread does not become too expensive for masses.
The Minister said SSGL and SNGPL were facing a collective loss of 152 billion rupees as the gas prices were not increased in last many years. He said the prices of LPG cylinders have been further brought down to give relief to the people.
