Nawaz Sharif to leave for London

ISLAMABAD - Nawaz Sharif is likely to leave for London in the first week of December, informed sources revealed on Thursday.

It was added that the president of ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will be accompanied with his daughter Maryam Nawaz. Sources claimed that their decision to leave for London has been finalised.

Nawaz Sharif will pay visit to his ailing wife Kulsoom Nawaz who had undergone three successive chemotherapies. Kulsoom is expected to have further tests in December for which her husband and daughter scheduled their visits in the initial weeks of the month.

Meanwhile, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has adjourned hearing of petitions against Nawaz Sharif, owning a political party despite disqualification, for indefinite time as no one from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) attended the session. Lahore High Court (LHC) has merged petition against ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz.
