Zero Point gate on Pak-Iran border closed

QUETTA: Zero Point gate for trade activities between Iran and Pakistan is still closed at Taftan Pak-Iran border and gate has not been yet opened by Iranian authorities while Pakistani traders have to face a lot of problem due of closure of gate.
As per details, edibles including fruits, vegetables and others have started to decay due to the closure of gate while Pakistani traders have to face loss of millions.
Iranian authorities often close Zero point gate despite of reduction in duration to deliver bilateral trade items in both countries.
Pakistani traders staged protest against Iranian authorities over the closure of gate at Pak-Iran border and demanded that Pakistani authorities should be informed by Iranian officials before the closure of gate.
Local administration of Taftan claimed that Iranian authorities want delivery of 2000 crate mangoes daily from the Zero Point gate but Pakistani traders do not accept it that’s why they have stopped import of Iranian items in Pakistan.
