Federal government decides to open all highways and motorways across Pakistan

*ISLAMABAD – **Federal government decides to open all highways and motorways across Pakistan.*

*The federal government has decided to open all main routes including highways across the country.*

This decision was during the meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) core committee. The meeting of PTI core committee, chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan, was held to review situation of the country in view of coronavirus. Meeting was briefed about steps taken by provinces to combat the deadly disease.

The PTI’s core committee also approved to re-open the food supply chain. The federal government decided to give investors relief in the construction sector. It was also decided that the volunteer force strategy to deliver relief package to deserving people across the country.

Meanwhile, immediate additional freight trains will also be run but the passenger trains will be suspended.

The core committee also reviewed measures taken to ensure uninterrupted supply of essential goods in the country.

Minister for Economic Affairs *Hammad Azhar* gave a detailed briefing on the adverse impact of the COVID-19 crisis on the national economy.

Special Assistant to PM on Youth Affairs *Usman Dar* gave a briefing on the registration of *‘Corona Relief Tigers’* forces.
