First supercritical coal fired power project to be installed in Jamshoro

ISLAMABAD: Jamshoro Power Company Limited and the Siemens Harbin Electric International have signed an agreement to meet the future needs of energy in the country in Islamabad.
During the ceremony, an Engineering, Procurement and Construction Contract for first unit having capacity of six hundred sixty megawatt and five years operation and Management Contract of one thousand three hundred twenty megawatt Jamshoro Coal Fired Power Project was signed.
It will be the first supercritical coal fired power project in public sector to be installed at Jamshoro in Sindh province. APP/AFP
