Pakistan, Bahrain economic ties have entered a new phase: Dastgir

Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastgir has said Pakistan is committed to have a robust economic engagement with Bahrain.

He was speaking at Pakistan-Bahrain Business Opportunities Conference in Islamabad today.

The Minister said the two countries already have closer cooperation in different fields.

Khurram Dastgir said Pakistan faced worst kind of extremism but people of Pakistan have demonstrated unique resilience and strength in facing the challenge.

He said it is because of this that today Pakistan has moved out of the dark period and entered into a brighter phase. He said peace is not just in Islamabad but also in places like Karachi, Balochistan and tribal areas.

The Minister for Commerce said the Government is committed to maintain the peace as this is vital for economic progress and development.

Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan said the enhanced cooperation in trade and commerce will further cement their long term brotherly relations.

He said the two countries have entered a new phase of bilateral relations with partnerships in trade and commerce.

The Minister said time is ripe for foreign investments in Pakistan.

He said the landmark project of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will take Pakistan to new heights of progress and prosperity.
