Gawadar Sea port to usher in new era of prosperity in Balochistan

QUETTA: (APP) Provincial Minister for Planning and Development Dr.Hamid Khan Achakzai said on Wednesday that Gawadar deep Sea port would play an important role in the future development of Balochistan, besides ushering in new era of socio economic prosperity in the province.
He stated this while addressing a seminar here.
"Owing to geo-political, trade and defence importance of Gawadar deep sea port, it would generate eight (8) to ten (10) thousand jobs for the people of the province besides resulting in establishment of technical and quality educational institutions in the province," he remarked.
Such kind of initiatives, he said would help reduce long-existing sense of deprivation of the people in the province.
Dr.Hamid Khan Achakzai who is also Provincial Deputy Secretary of Pakhtunkhawa Milli Awami Party termed China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) a great gift from Pakistan's great friend China adding that every country in the world recognized its importance.
He added that work of the CPEC project was progressing smoothly in the country including in Balochistan which after its completion would not only guarantee the economic prosperity of Pakistan but also help usher in a new era socio economic prosperity in the entire region.
Dr.Hamid Khan Achakzai highlighting the importance of investments in the province said that if the law and order situation improves further, the investors would come and investment in different sectors of economy in the country specially in the province of Balochistan and multinational companies would establish their factories besides development of transports and trade goods leading to uplift of the people of the area.
He stressed the need for early completion of Western Route under CPEC so that new industrial zones, motorways and railways tracks should be developed in the province.
