JI Chief Siraj ul Huq ditches MMA Chief Fazal ur Rehman: Sources

ISLAMABAD – JI Chief Siraj ul Huq has parted ways with MMA Chief Moulana Fazal.ur Rehman and has decided to join the national and provincial assemblies.
Earlier MMA had decided against taking oath and sitting in the Parliament.
Yesterday a delegation comprising senior leaders of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Sunday met Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman to discuss post-election scenario.
Addressing a press conference, former prime minister Yusuf Raza Gillani reiterated his party’s demand for resignation of the chief election commissioner.
Gillani said PPP was in favour of addressing reservations in parliament, adding that his party met Fazl in order to change his mind over not taking oath in parliament.
The JUI-F chief, on the occasion, announced an All Parties Conference and said all recommendations would be discussed on Monday.
Fazl in an APC had rejected election results and, alongside Awami National Party (ANP) chief Asfandyar Wali, came up with the suggestion of not taking oath in parlaiment.
