London: Opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif files a case in London High Court.President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shehbaz Sharif has filed a case against Daily Mail and reporter David Rose for publishing a fabricated story that that he alleged sought to damage his reputation.
While addressing a press conference along with his lawyers in London, he said that false allegations were levied against him in David Rose’s article.
His lawyer confirmed that the defamation claim has been issued at the London High Court’s against defendants Daily Mail and David Rose.
Shehbaz said that the story in Daily Mail was published on the instructions of Imran Khan.
“Yesterday, my lawyers filed a case against Daily Mail. This fabricated story was printed, or forced into print, was a part of the character assassination that Imran Niazi and his cohorts are engaged in day and night, against the opposition, especially PML-N, in the name of accountability. The whole idea was to paint PMLN in a bad light,” he said.
Criticizing the PTI led government, he said that they failed to deliver in every aspect.
