Police fail to arrest medical student’s killer in Kohat

KOHAT: Police have on Monday failed to arrest the culprit behind the killing of medical college female student for rejecting marriage proposal.
According to police, Asma, the third year student of Abbottabad Medical College was heading towards her house along with her sister-in-law when accused Mujahid along with his accomplice opened firing, due to which Asma received bullet injuries.
She was rushed to hospital where she later succumbed to her wounds. Asma had come home to meet her family in Kohat during session break.
The family of the deceased girl said that the accused wanted to marry her and was hurling threats.
Police have registered a case but couldn’t arrest the accused.
On the other hand, according to suspect’s friend, who received his phone call said that he has escaped to Dubai.
