US, South Korea vow to strengthen joint defense capabilities

The United States and South Korea have agreed to strengthen their joint defense capabilities against North Korea.

The agreement came during telephonic talks between US President Donald Trump and South Korea's Acting President Hwang Kyo-Ahn.

White House said in a statement that Donald Trump reiterated his firm commitment to defend South Korea through provision of extended deterrence and using full range of military capabilities.
