Trans Afghan Rail Project connecting Pakistan with CAR states

A delegation of Uzbekistan led by Minister for Transport Makhamov Ilkhom called on Minister for Railways Azam Khan Swati in Islamabad.
During the meeting, Trans-Afghan Rail Project came under discussion besides cargo train service and other important issues.
Under this project, Pakistan and Uzbekistan will be connected by rail link through Afghanistan.
The other Central Asian Republics including Tajikistan and Turkmenistan will also be able to join the proposed rail link.
