President emphasizes need to preserve archaeological sites

President Dr Arif Alvi has emphasized the need to preserve the ancient archaeological sites of the country.
He was addressing the inauguration ceremony of painting exhibition at Jamil Naqsh Museum titled "Fisher Woman of My Mohenjo-daro" in Karachi.
The President said aesthetic expression adds more value to a culture, by raising awareness in the society about social-justice and harmony, quality of life and patriotism.
He said rich history of South Asia and the centuries old traditions of Pakistan have grown out of the world's oldest civilizations like Mehrgarh, Moenjo-Daro and Harappa.
Meanwhile, President Dr Arif Alvi has directed security institutions to arrest the killers of Ali Raza Abidi as soon as possible and complete the investigation into the matter immediately.
He issued these directives while visiting the residence of ex-MNA Ali Raza Abidi in Karachi on Saturday.
President offered condolence with father of Ali Raza Abidi. He prayed for departed soul and expressed sympathy for bereaved family.
