Sindh government interest free loan scheme

SUKKUR: (APP) Commissioner Sukkur Muhammad Abbas Baloch has said that the Sindh government has launched an interest free loan for poor women in Sukkur division. The scheme will continue to benefit the poor women year-by-year.

He said this while presiding over a meeting on review development projects at his office here on Tuesday.

The Commissioner told the meeting that Rs 50,000 per head to be recovered in three years adding that this on the eve of first balloting for 40 candidates from Sukkur division.

In the first phase, Rs 1 crore has been allocated, out of total Rs 13 crore to run the scheme in the forthcoming years continuously.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sukkur, Dr Waheed Asghar Bhutti, DC Khairpur Fayyaz Hussain Abbasi, Assistant Commissioners (ACs) were also present on the occasion. Under the interest free loan scheme, the poor women would establish small-scale business like tailoring shops, beauty parlours, livestock, general and grocery store etc.
