Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said maintenance of law and order and protection of life and property of people was a top priority of the government and police and law enforcement agencies should spare no effort for this purpose and perform their duties with commitment and dedication.
He said supremacy of law should be ensured at any cost and an effective strategy should be adopted to curb crimes especially heinous crime.
He asked senior police officers to hold meetings regularly to review law and order and keep the doors of their offices open for provision of justice to the people.
He said indiscriminate action should be taken against criminal elements and all possible measures should be adopted for protection of life and property of citizens.
Special Assistant Rana Maqbool Ahmad, Chief Secretary, Secretary Home and concerned officers attended the meeting while Inspector General Police participated through video link.
