Over 100 mini dams constructed in Potohar Region during last 2 years

ISLAMBAD: Punjab Government has constructed one hundred two mini dams under 'Kissan Package' in Potohar Region during the last two years.
This was stated by Director Punjab Soil Conservation Department Malik Ghulam Akbar while talking to APP.
He said one hundred seventy four water ponds and thirty nine water storage tanks were also constructed in the area during this period.
The Director said due to construction of these water reserviours, more than thirty two thousand acres of land was made cultivable in the region. APP/AFP
