Afghanistan: 35 Taliban killed in US airstrikes

In Afghanistan, thirty-five Taliban fighters have been killed and forty others wounded in US airstrikes in Balkh Province.

Afghanistan National Army officials said airstrikes carried out in close cooperation with the Afghan commandos.

Meanwhile, at least 17 Daesh fighters were killed in drone strikes carried out by coalition forces in eastern Nangarhar province.

The Afghan police said in a statement today, that the airstrikes were conducted in Haska Mina and Achin districts in the province in which hideouts and weapons belonged to the militants were destroyed. APP/AFP
