BEIJING – The International Army Games 2018 started today in Korla,Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region of China.

Military units from 10 countries including China, Pakistan, Russia and Iranare competing.

A contingent of Pakistan armed forces is participating in one contestnamely ‘clear sky’ to be hosted by China as part of international armygames.

Another contest, Seaborne Assault, hosted by the Chinese Navy for the firsttime will take place at Quanzhou, Fujian province.

Pakistani Lieutenant Colonel Kamran Zaheer speaking at the opening ceremonysaid that these army games will help exchange military development witharmies of Pakistan and China.

At the contests , all participants except the Russian “Suvorov Attack” teamwill use Chinese equipment and weapons.

Army games would offer a good platform for global military exchanges and abridge for friendship and cooperation.
