Stunning revelations surface on General Bajwa - Nawaz Sharif deal

Senior leader of the Muslim League (N) and former Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that General Bajwa's extension was offered in exchange for the support of the Punjab and federal governments.
During a private TV interview, Khawaja Asif stated that there is no logical justification for supporting General Bajwa's extension, and the party leadership felt that it should have been linked to the decision on the Army Chief's extension.
He mentioned that his return favor for General Bajwa's extension decision was made in a written statement. Khawaja Asif said, "The decision was made a few months before the voting took place. There is no ambiguity. I said there's no ambiguity. They asked me in writing what I wanted, and in June, we took over the Punjab government, and a few months later, in December, we took over the federal government.
I told them my leader has given instructions that there should be no return favor, and our leader accepted it on this condition. The words they used when we met were, 'We have been very patient about it.'"
