Former DG FIA joins PML-N

Former Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) chief Bashir Memon officially joined the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Friday.

Maryam Nawaz, the Chief Organiser of PML-N, issued an official notification appointing Memon as the head of the Sindh committee responsible for organizing the reception for Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

Maryam Nawaz confirmed the appointment of Bashir Memon as the convener of the reception committee in Sindh for Mian Nawaz Sharif through an official notification.

In a statement on Thursday, PML-N senior leader Mohammad Zubair expressed the party workers' desire to see Nawaz Sharif serve as the country's prime minister for the fourth time. During a press conference in Karachi, Zubair emphasized that Nawaz Sharif's return to the country was scheduled for October 21.

He stated, "The development journey in the country that came to a halt in 2017 will resume." Zubair lamented the removal of Nawaz Sharif, who had been elected as the country's premier three times.

He also criticized the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), suggesting that their government in Sindh had not performed well and announced their intent to vigorously contest against the PPP.

Taking a dig at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief, Zubair remarked that it was detrimental to the country to have the PTI chief remain as the prime minister.
