FBR surpasses September revenue target

In the initial 28 days of September 2023, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) provisionally gathered more than Rs 815 billion, surpassing the monthly goal of Rs 795 billion by Rs 20 billion.
The FBR has achieved its revenue target for September 2023 within this time frame, with expectations of additional growth in the remaining two days of the month.
In the first quarter of 2022-23 (July-September), provisional tax collections amounted to Rs 2,022 billion, exceeding the quarterly target of Rs 1,978 billion by Rs 44 billion.
