NO Rest: PM Imran Khan to leave for another tour tomorrow
MIRPUR - Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan will pay a visit to earthquake-affected Mirpur tomorrow.
It was stated by chairman of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Lt Gen Muhammad Afzal, today as he review ongoing relief operations in Mirpur.
NDMA chairman told attendants that as many as 5000 houses were badly damaged in the earthquake. “The worst affected area was a village near Sahang”, revealed Lt Gen Muhammad Afzal.
On Sept 24, a shallow quake jolted parts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Punjab, Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa killing 38 people while injuring over 700 others.
AJK was hit worst as almost all deaths occurred in the area.
