NAB submits Dar's assets details

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Friday submitted property details of former finance minister Ishaq Dar that has been seized in corruption reference pertaining to the assets beyond known sources of income.
Accountability Court Judge Mohammad Bashir heard a NAB petition seeking auction of the assets owned by the absconder former minister in Pakistan.
As the hearing began, the NAB special prosecutor Imran Shafiq presented the asset details of the accused on the directions of the court.
The court directed the prosecution to submit implementation report with the court regarding assets auction notices to the accused person.
Earlier, NAB prosecutor contended before the court that the accused person could approach the court after six months of the property auction. Dar had not submitted any objection with the court so far, he added.
Shafiq said the accused owned some property in Islamabad and Lahore as well. He requested the court to issue directives about the accused's property that did not come under this court's jurisdiction.
The court later adjourned hearing of the case till next Monday.
The former finance minister has been in London since October last year on medical grounds and has been declared an absconder in the corruption case filed against him by the accountability watchdog; later, red warrants were sought for his arrest.
