Two traffic wardens dismissed on corruption charges

RAWALPINDI, (APP): Two traffic wardens were dismissed from service on Thursday after they were caught extorting money from motorists.

 

According to a City Traffic Police (CTP) spokesman, both the traffic wardens dismissed from service on corruption charges were performing duty in Pirwadhai sector and deployed at Carriage Factory point.

 

He informed that City Traffic Officer (CTO) Yousaf Ali Shahid after complaints against traffic wardens, Faiz Ahmed and Nisar Mahmood conducted a raid at night and caught them red handed as they were extorting money from the drivers of heavy duty vehicles.

 

The CTO took strict action in accordance with the law against both traffic wardens.
