KPK IGP inaugurates new training facilities, tools for Elite Force

PESHAWAR: (APP) The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani on Thursday visited to Elite Police Training School and inaugurated new facilities and provision of modern technological tools to the Special Combat Unit (SCU) of the Elite Force.
Additional IGP Elite Force Tariq Javed, Additional IGP CTD Salah Uddin, CCPO Peshawar and RPO Mardan were also present on this occasion.

The IGP inaugurated the new operations room at the School.
Commandant of the School Col. (R) Sana Ullah Khan briefed the IGP about the new technological equipment provided to the SCU to improve their technical capacity to combat the terrorism in an effective manner.
Practical demonstration of raid and assault with the help of new equipment was also given by the SCU.
Later on the IGP addressed the Jawans of SCU, Elite Force and their instructors and appreciated the extraordinary valor and courage of the Elite Jawans in difficult times.

He stressed upon the Jawans to focus on their continuous professional development and enhance tactical gadgetries skills to counter the threat of terrorism in the province.
The IGP appreciated the overall standard of training at the school and asked the instructors to instill the spirit of team work in the trainees.

On this occasion, the IGP announced that all missing facilities at the school would gradually be provided and this school would become a center of excellence in training and preparation of Jawans for the protection of lives and property of the citizens.
The IGP visited different barracks, training areas and sports complex at the school and directed the Commandant to provide every possible facility to the Jawans of Special Combat Units who earned laurels for the KP Police in operation from the Snowy peaks of Naran to the Sandy plains of DI Khan.
