COAS visits FF Centre in Abbottabad  

RAWALPINDI: (APP) Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Thursday visited Abbottabad and witnessed the finals of 4th COAS Young Soldiers Inter Central PACES (Physical Agility and Combat Efficiency System) Championship at FF Centre.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), total of 406 contestants from 22 Regimental Centers participated in this event.

Sepoy Sheeraz Khan did 1214 Push Ups in 30 minutes to clinch 1st Position in this category.

Sepoy Jamshaid Khan stood 1st in Chin Ups competition by doing 68 Chin Ups.

While Sapper Akmal Hussain did 2134 Sit Ups to secure 1st Position in this event.

Sepoy Muhammad Asif was declared fit of the fittest in the competition by securing 2474 marks.

Speaking on the occasion, the COAS appreciated participants of the competition and trainers for achieving very high standards of physical fitness and professionalism.

The COAS said that Pakistan Army is the most battle-hardened army in the world and it is primarily due to highest standard of physical fitness, professionalism and motivation of officers and men who face the challenges dauntlessly.

He distributed awards among the topers of the competitions.
