Pakistan wants to further strengthen ties with Russia: Mandviwala
ISLAMABAD: Deputy Chairman Senate Saleem Mandviwala said that Pakistan wanted to further strengthen its ties with Russia in area beneficial for both countries.
“Pakistan places its relations with Russia at high esteem and we desire to further expand ties to other areas for mutual benefit of people of the two sides” he said during a meeting with the Russian Ambassador.
He said that trade and business needed to be enhanced between the two sides.
He also emphasized the need for increased parliamentary linkages as both the sides could explore new vista of bilateral cooperation through such high level interactions.
He also appreciated the Russian participation in the IDEAS-2018 being held in Karachi.
He said that business community of the two countries needed to be brought closer for investment and steps needed to be taken to create conducive environment for mutual benefit.
Russian Ambassador agreed with the views of Deputy Chairman Senate and said that there was huge scope for investment and trade in different sectors.
