Pakistan to sign Preferential Trade Agreement with leading Nation

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan likely to sign preferential trade agreement with key African nation soon.
As per media report, Pakistan and Tunisia are expected to sign a Preferential Trade Agreement next year, which will boost bilateral trade between the two countries.
Ambassador of Tunisia Adel Elarbi has said negotiations over the proposed PTA between Tunisia and Pakistan are going on and it is likely to be signed during the first quarter of 2019.
The Tunisian envoy was speaking at a function at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
Senior Vice President LCCI Khawaja Shahzad Nasir and Vice President Fahim-ur-Rehman Saigal also spoke on the occasion.
The Ambassador said that the PTA would be signed after finalization of goods for trade between the two countries under the new regime.
Tunisia has a significant geographical position as it is a gateway to African countries, European states and Arab countries. Tunisia has signed FTA with European Union so it is expected that in near future, Tunisia will become economic hub of Africa, he said.
