The National Assembly resumed its session in Islamabad on Tuesday with Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi in the chair.
The House is transacting private members' business.
National Assembly passes three bills
Responding to a calling attention notice moved by Naeema Kishwar Khan and others regarding the baseless allegations leveled by Amir Liaqat, host of programme "Aisa Naheen Chalay Ga" on Bol TV Channel against all party leaders including Maulana Fazlur Rehman of having Flats in Nerawana, London, Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division Tariq Fazal Chaudhary told the House that pemrahas established a Council of Complaints which takes action on such remarks.
He said TV channels were given warnings, fined and banned for certain duration on airing objectionable material.
Tariq Fazal said it is unfortunate that baseless allegations were leveled on political parties and leadership in talk shows. He pointed out that subjudice matters were also discussed in these shows.

The Minister of State assured the House that action will be taken against Bol TV channel for leveling baseless allegations against Maulana Fazlur Rehman as a complaint in this regard has already been referred to Council of Complaints of pemra.
The National Assembly today rejected "The Law Reforms (Amendment) Bill, 2015" moved by Muhammad Ayaz Soomro.
Law Minister Zahid Hamid said this amendment can only be done through constitutional amendment.
National Assembly of Pakistan introduces five bills
The House referred "The Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues (Amendment) Bill, 2016" to Standing Committee on National Health Services for further deliberations. The bill was moved by Kishwar Zehra.
