Sniffer dogs deployed at Pakistani Airport detect 14 Coronavirus patients

Sniffer Dogs that have been deployed at Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar have succeeded to trace 14 coronavirus patients among passengers arriving from abroad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

The Army-trained dogs link have successfully detected the virus among passengers at the Bacha Khan International Airport.

Around 166 rapid antigen tests were carried out on the passengers arriving in Peshawar from Sharjah.

According to the airport's manager, Obaidullah Abbasi, the passengers have been provided with all kinds of facilities.

However, the Airport manager clarified that sniffer link dogs link did not directly check the passengers.

He explained, “Swab tests are done on incoming passengers and then a dog sniffs the swab to check for the virus. And if the dog sits down after sniffing the swab, the passenger is declared positive for Covid-19.”

Reportedly, a NCOC delegation also supervised the process when passengers from two flights were examined on Saturday.
