Israeli authorities have approved plans for the construction of hundreds of new settler units in the occupied West Bank, irrespective of the international outcry against the Tel Aviv regime’s illegal settlement expansion activities and land grab policies in Palestinian territories.
Head of the Committee Against the Wall and Settlements in Bethlehem Hassan Bureijia told Palestine’s official WAFA news agency link on Thursday that officials have given the green light for plans to build 560 units in Mtsad settlement, which lies southeast of Bethlehem and more than 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) south of Jerusalem al-Quds.
He added that the announcement came only a few days after Israeli authorities endorsed plans for the construction of 90 new illegal units in Ibi Hanahal settlement. link
