Govt cognizant of media workers' issues, fully committed to resolve them: SAPM

Special Assistant on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that resolution of the issues of journalist community is foremost priority of the government.
Talking to media outside the Parliament house in Islamabad, she said the government is cognizant of the issues of media workers and fully committed to resolve them.
She said Prime Minister Imran Khan has also assigned duty to the principle secretary, Yousaf Baig Mirza and her for addressing the issues being faced by the media workers.
Meanwhile, in a tweet on Tuesday, Prime Minister's Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan says government believes in freedom of expression and protection of media workers' rights.
She said government is making all out efforts to resolve journalists' issues.
The Special Assistant said press freedom, conducive environment for journalists, and solution to their problems is part of revolutionary manifesto of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
