Saudi crown prince Mohammad Bin Salman was shot and injured in heavy gunfire: Report

ISLAMABAD - Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is said to be shot and injured in heavy gunfire that erupted from outside the royal palace.

Press TV reported that the secretary-general of the Islamic Revival Party Mohammed al-Mas’ari made the revelation. In a recent interview with Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen TV, he said that bin Salman was hit by bullets in an attack.

Reports of heavy fire outside the palace circulated earlier on the media. However; Saudi Arabia’s state media claimed that a toy drone reached closed to the royal palace and was later shot down. Saudi activist while rejected the claims says that it was an attack from vehicles carrying heavy machine guns and shooting randomly.

It has been reported that bin Salman had been evacuated to a nearby bunker at a military base for his safety.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman used to make frequent media appearances but since the attack happened he is not seen on camera even when new US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo made his visit to Riyadh in April.” - AFP
