1100 MW Chashma-4 nuclear power plant functional status update

MULTAN: (APP) Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) Chairman Muhammad Naeem on Wednesday said 1100 Megawatt Chashma-4 nuclear power plant would be connected to the national grid by May this year before the upcoming Ramazanul Mubarak.
He was speaking at the ground breaking ceremony of the Enhanced Facility Block of Multan Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy (MINAR) here.
The PAEC chairman said nuclear power generation would increase up to 8,800 Megawatt by the year 2030. He added the PAEC would continue to contribute to enhancing nuclear electricity generation to elevate overall power generation capacity of the country to 40,000 Megawatt in 2050.
