Green line, Orange Line Bus Rapid Transport Systems work in full swing in Karachi

The work on two important transport projects, Green Line and Orange Line Bus Rapid Transport Systems, is in full swing in Karachi and both projects are expected to be completed by the end of this year.     

Radio Pakistan Karachi correspondent Altaf Pirzado reports that different mass transit projects have been initiated by the federal and provincial governments to facilitate the people particularly the citizens of Karachi.

With the joint efforts of Federal and provincial governments, the project of Karachi circular railway has also been included in CPEC, which will be completed at a cost of two point four billion dollars.

The contract has been awarded to foreign consortium to prepare feasibility report of the project and Sindh government has earmarked two hundred forty one million rupees in next year's budget for erecting a fence on both sides of existing circular railway track.
