Water level at Tarbela Dam reaches dangerous levels ahead of Monsoon

HARIPUR: (APP) Water level of Tarbela Dam on Tuesday has reached its highest point and dam officials have opened the spillways of the dam.
Owing to rapid increase in water inflow which is now 209600 cusec feet and outflow has also increased up to 180000 to cope with the flood threat in the area.
Power generation level of Tarbela Dam has reached 3180 Megawatts where 13 hydro power generation units of Tarbela Dam are working with full capacity and Unit No 14 has been shut down due to technical fault which would be restored within few days.
