Amjad Sabri Sufi Music & Qawwali Institute to be established

KARACHI: (APP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Chairman of Pakistan People's Party, has formed a three-member Ministerial Committee of Sindh Government for establishment of Shaheed Amjad Sabri Sufi Music and Qawwali Institute besides promoting Sufi teachings in educational institutions.

A Bilawal House Media Cell statement here on Tuesday said that the PPP Chairman issued these directives during a meeting with Minister/Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Culture Ms Sharmila Faruqi, who called on him at Bilawal House on Tuesday.

Members of the Committee shall include Senior Minister for Education Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Special Assistant/Minister for Religious Affairs Dr Qayum Soomro and Sharmila Faruqi.

Earlier, she briefed the PPP Chairman about the performance of her Department and the projects being undertaken for promoting and preserving culture and heritage of the province.

MPA Saira Shehlyani and Former Provincial Minister Ghulam Muhammad Shehlyani also called on Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at Bilawal House.
