Imran Khan strongly lash out against government over massive hike in petroleum prices

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan Sunday bashed the government regarding the latest hike in petroleum products prices.

Imran Khan took to his twitter and said that “Total mismanagement of our economy by a corrupt & incompetent imported government has crushed masses & salaried class with latest hike in petrol & diesel prices & Rs33. Dollar devaluation to Rs262.6/$. Electricity & gas price hike & 35% unprecedented inflation expected with Rs200bn mini budget.”

The public is literally crushed under the prices of basic necessities like petroleum products. The prices of petrol and diesel have been increased by Rs35 per litre. Moreover, the new prices were implemented with immediate effect.

As per the announcement of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, the new price of petrol will be Rs249.80 while that of diesel Rs262.80. The price of light diesel has also been increased by Rs18 to Rs187 per litre whereas the price of kerosene oil has also been increased by Rs18 to Rs189.83 per litre.
